Warranty deed, 1882-1883.

Warranty deed, dated Jan. 20, 1882, for the sale of lots 11-12 of block 65 in East Saginaw (Mich.) to Feige from George Gorham and his wife, Ellen M. Gorham, Buffalo (N.Y.), for $1900. The deed was notarized on Jan. 23, 1882, received on Jan. 28, 1882, and recorded in Book 113 of Deeds, pp. 173-174 by Laura C. Heely, Deputy and Acting Registrar, Saginaw County. It was also received on Oct. 13, 1883 by L. Simoneau, Registrar, probably of (Erie County, N.Y.). Also included is biographical information (1 p., copy).

Feige was one of the four sons (George, Ernest, Charles, and Henry) of Engelhardt Feige. Together they operated furniture stores in East Saginaw and Bay City (Mich.). In 1879 the brothers' partnership dissolved and George took control of the retail stores in East Saginaw. He later left the business, which became Henry Feige and Son.
